Cause of condition/ injury: Her pain was due to her being entering the latter stages of pregnancy and the weight of the baby on her pelvis.

Treatment offered: We offered Miss. Vanguard osteopathy for relieving pelvic girdle pain to help reduce her day-to-day discomfort.

Result of treatment and prognosis: Miss. Vanguard is now entering into her third trimester of pregnancy and is experiencing little to no pain. She has been continuing to see us once a month during her pregnancy to maintain her treatment and keep discomfort at bay.

Location: Penshurst, Kent

Condition they needed treatment for: Mrs. Hellski came to see us as she was suffering from plantar fasciitis.

Cause of condition/ injury: She developed plantar fasciitis due to prolonged standing at work over the course of six months. The constant pressure on her heels lead to a breakdown in strength and the fascia, and caused inflammation that resulted in severe pain.

Treatment offered: We treated Mrs. Hellski with shockwave therapy, to help the fascia in her heels regenerate and gain strength.

Result of treatment and prognosis: Mrs. Hellski has since then made a full recovery and experiences no pain whatsoever in her heels. She has gained enough strength in her feet and legs to avoid a recurrence of her injury.

PATIENT TESTIMONIALS

Miss Pergande
Angus came highly recommended and I was not disappointed! After taking a detailed history (of lower back pain), he investigated the presenting issue (an acute strain caused by gardening). Angus quickly identified and treated the affected area using a combination of manipulation, deep tissue massage and medical acupuncture. The relief was immediate but Angus also gave me some 'very easy to follow' exercises to do between sessions. Several weeks on, and I'm now completely pain free! Unlike other osteopaths I had seen previously, Angus won't tell you to keep coming back for unnecessary appointments! Many thanks - highly recommended! 🙂

I looked on line & saw many Osteopaths in & around Tunbridge Wells, but Angus Gould had a very good web site with many great reviews. I was able to book online an appointment. He offers various treatment packages & also a 15min consultation free of charge. This I think is a great idea as I was able to meet Angus & quickly realised I was in safe hands. He discussed a treatment plan going forward & went out of his way to look after me. He is passionate about his job & the well being of his patients. A top chap

Angus is amazing! After six years of chronic sciatic nerve related pain in my lower back and left leg, I am already feeling much better after only three appointments. Angus is highly trained and skilled in both osteopathy and acupuncture and is kind, professional and a great listener.

I have had knee pain with lack of stability for a long time. After meeting Angus he explained clearly what the issue was and I set about doing the exercises he suggested. It has been a rewarding experience, as my knee pain has virtually gone and my stability has improved considerably. I would highly recommend Angus to anyone that has issues he can help them address.

Angus was highly recommended. I had neck and shoulder problems and after the first appointment I started to feel better and be in less pain. He offered advice and exercises to aid in the recovery and also reduce the risk of reoccurrence. He was helpful and put me at ease.

Highly recommended Osteopath, I have been seeing Angus for 8 months to keep episodes of neuropathic pain under control. I can't thank Angus enough, he always listens, adapts the treatment session accordingly and explains everything so clearly. The treatments are linked up with my neurologist and have made the world of difference to my symptoms. I always feel like I'm in safe hands and feel better afterwards, I can't recommend Angus enough.

I initially went to see Angus with severe shoulder pain and was suffering with restricted movement for a couple of months. Within 3 sessions, the pain had gone and I had regained full flexibility of movement again. Since then he’s been brilliant at helping me manage lower back and neck pain. As an active person, I didn’t want to stop training and Angus was really helpful at explaining which exercises and movements I should adjust and what things would help or aggravate the pain. He’s great at explaining what he’s doing and why and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an osteopath.

FAQS

Everyone! We treat children, teens, adults and older adults.

An average initial consultation & treatment will last between 30-45 minutes. Any follow-up treatments will last between 20-30 minutes.

Osteopathy can be uncomfortable on occasion when working on painful or tender areas. However your therapist will work with you to determine your pain tolerance. If the pain is too much, we’ll adjust as necessary.

A full assessment will be taken by your therapist before you start treatment. This may require further imaging to confirm a diagnosis. On average, patients attend 4-6 sessions, however, this may need to be reviewed 8-10 weeks post-treatment to ensure long-lasting results

Although there may be some immediate pain relief, it is important to remember that this does not mean the injury or condition is fully healed. Osteopathy works best as part of a rehabilitation and treatment plan which may include other exercises or changes to help manage your condition. It is important to review progress regularly with your physician to ensure long-term results.

You may experience a slight reddening or swelling of the affected area post-treatment, however, for most people, this is accompanied by a reduction in pain.

Your initial consultation for Osteopathy is £60 and any follow-ups cost £50

We also offer discounts for patients when purchasing a treatment package.

6 Treatments – £320

8 Treatments – £380
