CROWBOROUGH CASE STUDY 1
Patient name: Mr. Wells
Location: Crowborough, Kent
Condition they needed treatment for: Mr. Wells was suffering from plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendon pain.
Cause of condition/ injury: Mr. Wells has had pain in his Achilles tendon on and off, but his condition worsened during training for a triathlon, where he developed plantar fasciitis due to the intensity of his training.
Treatment offered: We used shockwave therapy to ease the patient’s tendon and heel pain, and an exercise prescription to strengthen the fascia in the foot, so that he was able to continue his training without worrying about developing another injury.
Result of treatment and prognosis: Mr. Wells is now able to train without pain, and he has since then completed his triathlon with no recurrences of foot or heel pain.
CROWBOROUGH CASE STUDY 2

Location: Crowborough, Kent
Condition they needed treatment for: Miss. Sanderfoot came to us with severe lower back pain, which was having a detrimental effect on her day to day life.
Cause of condition/ injury: Her lower back pain was caused by prolonged periods of desk work, as well as playing golf.
Treatment offered: We decided to treat her with a combination of osteopathy and medical acupuncture. The osteopathic treatment for lower back pain helped treat the root cause of the pain, while the medical acupuncture worked to ease the small muscles that were spasming in her lower back.
Result of treatment and prognosis: Miss. Sanderfoot is no longer in daily pain, and has since treatment confidently returned to golf, knowing that she is unlikely to befall the same injury again.

Treatment offered: We offered Miss. Vanguard osteopathy for relieving pelvic girdle pain to help reduce her day-to-day discomfort.
Result of treatment and prognosis: Miss. Vanguard is now entering into her third trimester of pregnancy and is experiencing little to no pain. She has been continuing to see us once a month during her pregnancy to maintain her treatment and keep discomfort at bay.

An average initial consultation & treatment will last between 30-45 minutes. Any follow-up treatments will last between 20-30 minutes.
Osteopathy can be uncomfortable on occasion when working on painful or tender areas. However your therapist will work with you to determine your pain tolerance. If the pain is too much, we’ll adjust as necessary.
A full assessment will be taken by your therapist before you start treatment. This may require further imaging to confirm a diagnosis. On average, patients attend 4-6 sessions, however, this may need to be reviewed 8-10 weeks post-treatment to ensure long-lasting results
Although there may be some immediate pain relief, it is important to remember that this does not mean the injury or condition is fully healed. Osteopathy works best as part of a rehabilitation and treatment plan which may include other exercises or changes to help manage your condition. It is important to review progress regularly with your physician to ensure long-term results.
You may experience a slight reddening or swelling of the affected area post-treatment, however, for most people, this is accompanied by a reduction in pain.
Your initial consultation for Osteopathy is £60 and any follow-ups cost £50
We also offer discounts for patients when purchasing a treatment package.
6 Treatments – £320
8 Treatments – £380
