We’re delighted to introduce the newest member of the AG Osteopathy team, Sam Wright, Osteopath (M.Ost). From August 2026, Sam will be seeing patients at our Tunbridge Wells clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays, bringing six years of hands-on experience and a warm, patient-centred approach to everything she does.
Here’s a little more about Sam:
A little about Sam
Sam trained at the European School of Osteopathy, graduating with a Masters in Osteopathy, and has been in practice since the summer of 2020. “Six years in practice now and counting and loving every moment,” she says.
Before joining us, Sam spent time working in a large multidisciplinary clinic in Central London, and she’ll be continuing to work in South East London alongside her new role here. That breadth of experience means she’s treated a huge variety of people, ages and conditions.
Sam's approach to treatment
Sam describes herself as very much a structural osteopath. She works with the body by mobilising joints using articulation and high velocity thrust techniques, alongside soft tissue work such as massage and muscle energy technique.
No two treatments look the same, though. “The techniques I use are different for every individual patient,” she explains. “Treatment is always tailored to help reduce pain, improve function and provide the right education for long-term results.”
That focus on long-term results, rather than simply chasing away symptoms, is a big part of what drew Sam to AG Osteopathy in the first place but more on that shortly.
What to expect from your first appointment
If you’ve never seen an osteopath before, a first visit can feel like a step into the unknown. Sam is keen to put that worry to rest.
“A new patient can expect a warm, friendly welcome,” she says. “I’m calm by nature and a good listener.” Every appointment begins with a conversation about why you’ve come in, followed by a case history and examination. From there, Sam will explain her findings and talk you through a treatment plan designed to get you back to feeling your best.
Her guiding questions are refreshingly simple: what’s wrong, and can I help? And if osteopathy isn’t the right answer, she’ll say so, arranging an onward referral where needed to make sure you get the best possible care.
The conditions Sam loves to treat
Sam enjoys treating all kinds of people and all kinds of conditions, but a few areas particularly capture her interest. She finds shoulders especially fascinating, “sometimes more challenging, which I enjoy” and also loves working with headaches, neck pain, lower back pain and sports injuries.
Being sporty herself, she has a real passion for getting patients moving and functioning well, and she’s always encouraging and supporting the exercises that work best for each person’s body. Alongside her osteopathy, Sam has completed additional training in dry needling and medical acupuncture, shockwave therapy, and an introduction to MSK diagnostic ultrasound.
Why osteopathy?
For Sam, the path into osteopathy came from a lifelong curiosity about how the body works and a desire to help people recover without relying solely on medication.
“Seeing how musculoskeletal problems can affect someone’s daily life made me want to work in a hands-on profession where I could reduce pain, improve mobility and help patients regain confidence in their movement,” she says. She was also drawn to the holistic nature of osteopathy, which looks at the whole person rather than treating individual symptoms in isolation.
Why AG Osteopathy?
Sam chose to join AG Osteopathy because of its strong reputation for patient-centred, evidence-informed care.
“The clinic’s emphasis on treating each patient as an individual aligns with my own approach to healthcare, and my desire to help people achieve long-term improvements in their health and wellbeing,” she says.
It’s a sentiment clinic founder Angus shares. “Sam brings a wealth of knowledge from working in a high-volume clinic in South East London, seeing patients with a real breadth of injuries and musculoskeletal complaints,” he says. “She’s passionate about helping people achieve their long-term goals, not just becoming symptom-free, which aligns closely with our clinic ethos.”
Away from the clinic
When she’s not treating patients, Sam is almost always on the move. She’s a keen cricketer who has been lucky enough to play county cricket for both Kent and Sussex, and now plays in the Kent Women’s Premier League and for the MCC at Lord’s. More recently she’s fallen for padel, “like everyone who starts, they never stop!” and aims to play two or three times a week.
She’s also caught the running bug. Having only started in late 2025, she’s already training for her first half marathon in October 2026 and has secured a place in the 2027 TCS London Marathon, which happens to fall on her 32nd birthday. “So I’ll be spending my last day as a 32-year-old running a marathon!”
Outside of sport, Sam loves cooking and trying out new recipes for family and friends, is learning Spanish, and shares her home with two cats, Coco and Callie. For her, keeping active is about far more than fitness, it’s a great way to look after both physical and mental wellbeing, and to build strong relationships along the way.
Book in with Sam
Sam is now available for initial consultations and treatments in both osteopathy and shockwave therapy, seeing patients at our Tunbridge Wells clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays from August 2026.
Whether you’re dealing with a nagging shoulder, recurring headaches, back or neck pain, or a sports injury that won’t shift, Sam would love to help you get moving again.
